The Fourth International Symposium of the European Association of Chinese Teaching was Successfully Held at the University of Southampton
From 21st to 22nd April 2023, the Fourth International Symposium of the European Association of Chinese Teaching (EACT) was held at the University of Southampton in the UK. The symposium was organised by the EACT, hosted by the University of Southampton and the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton. the British Chinese Language Teaching Society (BCLTS) provided assistance by having their 2023 Teacher Training Workshop on the second day of the symposium. More than one hundred experts and scholars from China, the UK, France, Germany, the United States, Vietnam, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, South Korea, Canada and other countries and regions gathered together to conduct academic exchanges and engage in intellectual collisions, including Professor Joel Bellassen, the former French superintendent of Chinese language teaching and current president of EACT, and Vice Presidents of EACT Zhang Xinsheng, Claudia Berger, and Zhou Minkang, as well as Professor Andreas Guder from Germany, Professor Nguyen Hoang Anh from Vietnam, Professor Wu Yongyi from China, Professor Liang Xia from the United States, Professor Federico Masini from Italy, and other distinguished guests.
