The Film Department at the University of Southampton proudly announces the forthcoming event entitled ‘Screening Chinese Cuisine’, held on 11 November 2017 (Saturday) from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Avenue Campus, University of Southampton. This event showcases our research excellence and is part of the University's public engagement activities. By providing an opportunity for dialogue between academics, professionals and wider communities, the event aims to raise greater awareness of this fascinating subject and change perceptions.

Discover Chinese food culture through cinema and TV!

Through food tastings, academic discussion, film screenings and an onsite cooking demonstration by chef Jeremy Pang (School of Wok), we will be exploring Chinese food culture and its relationship with the big and the small screen.

Everyone and people of all ages are welcome to this free event, organised by the University of Southampton’s Film Department and sponsored by the Confucius Institute.
