Southampton hosts the British Society of Gerontology Annual Conference

The Centre for Research on Ageing (CRA) at the University of Southampton, will be hosting this year's annual conference of the British Society of Gerontology (BSG2014).

The overall theme of the BSG2014 conference is 'New understandings of old age and the lifecourse'. It will seek to encompass the diverse and changing context of ageing in the UK and across the world.

Submissions for the conference are open until 14 March 2014. The conference welcomes submissions from researchers, practitioners, educators, policy-makers, the third sector, students, and all other stakeholders interested in ageing. In order to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives of ageing, the conference will draw on abstracts from across the disciplines of social and behavioural sciences; humanities; medicine; social care; social policy; nursing; and other related fields. Submissions considering key issues in methodology, or presenting ideas, critical reflections, or case studies from industry or practice are also welcome.
