Ageing and Sight Loss: Triggers and Implications for Care Seminar

Julia will discuss the causes of sight loss in later life and the impact this has for older people, informal carers, and formal services. The talk will include the particular difficulties faced by older people with both dementia and sight loss. Julia will cover (i) the determinants and triggers of sight loss in later life and in dementia, (ii) the implications for care (both formal and informal), and (iii) the health and social care services which exist to support older people with sight loss.
