At Southampton, we have a large community of researchers that spans across many academic units including Chemistry, Engineering, Ocean and Earth Science, and Sociology and Social Policy.

We believe that the development of long-term solutions aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions is through interdisciplinary research from capture through to end-use. Together our research focuses on various aspects of the carbon capture, storage and utilisation (CCS&U) chain. Our expertise combines Southampton's world-class computational and simulation modelling and world leading experimental facilities in sustained ocean observing, mapping and survey; data management, and scientific advice provided by the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) at Southampton.
