You are cordially invited to the 5th Special Interest Group in Language Testing and Assessment (SIGLTA) meeting. SIGLTA is a faculty supported postgraduate student-led reading/research group.

Abstract:  In this interactive workshop, participants will discuss and reflect on different aspects of language testing and assessment. This is an opportunity for pre-service and in-service language teachers who would like to expand their knowledge in different aspects of language testing such as planning the testing instruments, marking and communicating test scores. In addition, how language classroom based-assessment should be conducted to improve the quality of teaching and learning. 

Ricardo de la Garza-Cano is on his 3rd year of PhD in second language testing at the University of Southampton. He coordinates the Special Interest Group in Language Testing and Assessment (SIGLTA). His research interests include psychometric analysis of test properties, language assessment literacy, language performance progression and professional development.
