Event details

Please join us for the next Centre for Linguistics, Language Education and Acquisition Research (CLLEAR) seminar.

This talk will discuss what L2-English learners from article-less L1s (Korean and Chinese) know about English articles, and whether performance with English articles varies across tasks that target more explicit knowledge (such as acceptability judgments) vs. tasks that target more implicit knowledge (such as self-paced reading). This talk also addresses the role of transfer from related categories (demonstratives and numerals) in the learners' L1, and asks whether transfer is manifested across task types.

Everyone is invited! We hope to see all MLL students and staff at the talk.
