Aude Campmas (Film and MLL)

Dr Aude Campmas is a Lecturer in French Studies within Film and Modern Languages at the University of Southampton.

Following studies in Semiology and History of Science at Université Paris Diderot-Paris 7 and Trinity College Dublin, her current research interests include the relation between science, medicine and literature, and the representation of ‘the monstrous family' in Francophone Literature and Film.

Linda Turner (Medicine)

Linda Turner is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Medical Education and coordinates the Student Selected Units in Years 1 & 2.

Linda’s key interests are innovation in teaching and learning including student centred learning, small group teaching and reading and writing processes. She is also interested in widening access to medicine, community engagement and health, medical humanities and narrative based medicine.

She manages the coordination and development of the Student Selected Units in years 1 & 2 which includes Health Improvement, Medical Humanities, Appraising Medical Evidence and Peer Teaching. She designed and implemented the Health Improvement and Medical Humanities units and teaches an option in Narrative Writing and Medicine.

Joan Tumblety (History)

Dr Joan Tumblety is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Southampton.

Joan is a historian of modern France, specialising in the entwined cultural, gender and political histories of the twentieth century. Although she began her career focusing on the cultural and gender politics of the far right, her current research draws on perspectives from the history of health and medicine to explore natural health cures and the emergence of self-help across the early to mid-twentieth century period.
