Re-presenting the Past:  Material Things and Uncertainty

The Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Culture and School of Humanities at Southampton is delighted to announce that this year's Reuter Lecture, on ‘Re-presenting the Past:  Material Things and Uncertainty' will be delivered by Professor Sheila Bonde, Dean of the Graduate School, Professor of Archaeology and of the History of Art and Architecture at Brown University.

Professor Bonde's lecture will be preceded by the Reuter Masterclass, an opportunity for doctoral candidates and early career researchers to present and receive feedback on their work. Final year doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers in all fields of research in the Humanities will present papers on aspects of ‘Re-presenting the Past:  Material Things and Uncertainty' in the medieval and/or renaissance periods. Feedback will be led by Professor Bonde.
