Houses and Households Event

The day will investigate diverse aspects of domestic buildings from the late antique until the Renaissance, including the architecture of the physical structures themselves; their contents and furnishings; the social divisions of space as reflected by evidence for the activities taking place in and around them; and differing intellectual and methodological approaches that might advance our understanding of the domestic sphere in medieval times.
