Hosted by the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Culture

This informal workshop is designed to bring scholars working on the spaces of the past together with the developers of Pelagios - a project connecting historical, archaeological and classical resources together with Linked Data - and its semantic annotation platform, Recogito. The workshop will introduce the broad project and its system, and two projects on medieval sources, related to Holy Land Pilgrimage and Portolan Charts, that are taking place as part of Pelagios 4, under the AHRC’s Digital Transformations theme

Participation is free of charge and all are welcome subject to availability; please circulate this notice to interested colleagues and postgraduate students. No understanding or previous experience of Pelagios or other digital projects is required. However, space is limited so we ask that you e-mail Leif Isaksen and/or Marianne O’Doherty to check that we have space before travelling: L.Isaksen@soton.ac.uk; mod1w07@soton.ac.uk .
