Professor Tolga Bektas publishes his first book

Tolga Bektas, Chair of Logistics Management within the Southampton Business School, has just had his first book published, titled 'Freight Transport and Distribution: Concepts and Optimisation Models' by CRC Press, part of the Taylor & Francis group.

The book covers some of the principal problems arising within freight logistics, including facility location, network design, vehicle routing and green logistics, and presents mathematical models, methodologies and examples for these problems.  It adopts a textbook approach, and has been written with a postgraduate student audience in mind.  The book also features a foreword written by Gilbert Laporte of HEC Montreal.
