Bart Baesens wins EJOR Best Paper prize

Together with his co-authors, CORMSIS staff member Bart Baesens received the EURO 2017 award for the best EJOR paper in the Theory and Methodology category for their paper LESSMANN S., BAESENS B., SEOW H.V., THOMAS L.C., Benchmarking state-of-the-art classification algorithms for credit scoring: An update of research, European Journal of Operational Research, Volume 247, Issue 1, pp. 124-136, 2015.

Dr Baesens has a joint position at Southampton Business School and KU Leuven. The prize was awarded at the 2017 IFORS Conference in Quebec, Canada, and the paper will be made open access in due course.
