Event details
Abstract: Modern industrial engineering, systems engineering, operations management, and operations research methods that have been successfully used in manufacturing hold significant promise for healthcare systems and quality of care research. Among the most promising methods are queuing theory, optimization and process simulation. This presentation will utilize cases to demonstrate application of engineering and operations management principles and tools to improve healthcare systems.
