16:00 - 17:00 "Real-world Experiences of Using Discrete Event Simulation in Ford", talk by John Ladbrook (Ford Motor Company)
Abstract: John Ladbrook is going to discuss some of the key experiences of his career as a simulation modeller in Ford’s Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering department. Subject areas to be discussed will include model building and validation, presentation of results, use of data, greatest achievements and mistakes plus the impact research had on the Ford Simulation Team. John will conclude with his view of the challenges that still need resolving to advance the use of simulation in manufacturing.
