Take part in COVID-19 testing

Register for our Saliva Testing Programme

All students and staff accessing our campuses and facilities are expected to test weekly for COVID-19 with the Saliva Testing Programme. For new arrivals, we are also offering a blended testing approach with Saliva testing once weekly, and LFD testing twice weekly.

All students, including those who were registered for saliva testing last year, need to re-register for the Programme for the new academic year.

Staff who have already taken part in the Programme do not need to re-register.

Knowing who has COVID-19 is vital to stopping its spread, and regular testing for people without symptoms of COVID-19 can identify those who may be spreading the virus, but aren’t aware of it.

Our Saliva Testing Programme offers you the chance to find out whether you have the virus by simply collecting your saliva in a small sample pot that is then sent to a testing facility.

You’ll receive a positive or negative result within 24-48 hours and those who do test positive will be provided with the support they need.

Taking part in our Saliva Testing Programme will help to keep our campus safe and contribute to a positive experience for those who study and work at the University.

Rapid Lateral Flow Tests

These tests involve taking a sample from your throat and/or nose, using a swab.

Although these tests are not as reliable as saliva testing, they can provide results in 15 to 30 minutes and may be used in combination with the Saliva Testing Programme, for example, before attending an event, club or society.
