Dr Bai Xue PhD, MSc, BSc

Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management

Bai XUE is a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management in Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. She joined the Southampton Business School in October 2014.

She completed her PhD in Accounting and Corporate Governance from School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University; and holds a MSc in Management from University of Sheffield and BSc in Biotechnology in Beijing Forestry University, China.

Bai’s research interests include corporate governance in developed countries and emerging markets, the roles of independent directors in the listed companies in UK and China, corporate governance in non-profit sectors; audit market and auditor selection, audit quality and audit pricing; financial reporting in small and medium sized companies; and environmental performance and disclosure and the impact of CSR on corporate risk and performance.
