Hosam has joined Southampton Business School, University of Southampton since Sep 2014 as a Senior Teaching Fellow in Accounting, Taxation and Financial Management.

Prior to joining the University of Southampton, he was a Lecturer in Accounting at Aleppo University (2001-2004) and University of W.S (2012-14) UK.  His research focuses on taxation, market valuation, corporate finance and accounting education. He has published several articles/ long term projects in these areas.

In addition to his academic background, he worked in accounting profession for two years and has a few taxation consultancy activities as Public Policy Expert for The UK Parliament, HMRC and Southampton City Council.

Hosam is a UK Higher Education Academy Senior Fellow and has been awarded with two prestigious awards the Vice Chancellor's Award for Teaching in 2018 and the Dean Award for Teaching in 2016.
