The discussion of this topic will be introduced by short presentations of three authors of impact studies in the last REF: Professor Wrigley from Geography, Professor Jon Adams from Archaeology and Professor Ulrike Meinhof from Modern Languages. All staff from Humanities and Social Sciences are invited.
Speaker information
Prof Neil Wrigley ,Neil's research interests include the following: retail restructuring and regulation, globalization of retail capital, transnational retail and buyer driven supply chains in the global economy. Finance, the firm, and economic geography.
Prof Jon Adams ,Jonathan was a Deputy Director of the Mary Rose Project and has directed several other research excavations including the Amsterdam (UK), and the Sea Venture (Bermuda). He is currently working on medieval and early modern shipwreck sites in Sweden including the Kravel Project, and in Guernsey, as well as prehistoric maritime landscapes in Sweden and the UK. He is Director of the Centre for Maritime Archaeology and a member of the Archaeology Management Group.
Prof Ulrike Meinhof ,Ulrike's research interests include the following: migration and diaspora studies, border studies, cultural policy, cultural identity, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics and pragmatics, media studies.
