COVID-19 Contingency Planning

Dear Colleagues

I would like to draw to your attention to contingency plans drawn up by Southampton CTU in the light of COVID-19 and a request from our host institution that we move to working from home where possible. 

We will continue to prioritise:

•             Patient safety, including drug supply

•             Data Integrity

During this time we are suspending CTU staff attending site visits, including monitoring.  As staff will now work from home and we are unable to divert phone lines to trial specific staff, we request that all communication is via email.  Someone will call you back if required (and you provide a phone number).  In the event of an urgent query which has not been replied to expediently by the trial team, please use the main ctu email address ctu@soton.ac.uk and/or call 023 8120 5154.  This will ensure your query is escalated within the CTU.  SAE reports should continue to be sent to ctu@soton.ac.uk.

We are aware that hospitals are implementing their own contingency plans which may affect recruitment and delivery; please do keep us informed as relevant.
