3 PhD scholarships - deadline this week

We have a series of three PhD studentships available to explore the challenges around population and ageing.

Applications are invited for three PhD Studentships, one linked to the EPSRC Care Life Cycle Research Programme, and two funded by ESRC-ONS linked to research conducted at the University of Southampton.

The studentships are tenable for up to 3 years for a PhD (via MPhil route), subject to satisfactory progress. The Studentships will cover the cost of tuition fees for UK/EU residents, maintenance grant of £16,590 pa and research training support grant of £1,000 pa. The successful applicants will start in October 2012. International applicants may apply, but will be expected to pay the difference between the UK/EU and International tuition fees, if successful.

1. ESRC–ONS PhD Studentship on the topic of Migration (using quantitative methods).
