Studying at Southampton has been an awesome experience. The environment is very green with top-notch learning resource facilities.

What is it like studying here?

Studying at Southampton has been an awesome experience. The environment is very green with top-notch learning resource facilities like the library. The university has hundreds of fun societies and clubs to join, with a friendly and approachable Student’s Union. The iSolutions staff are also friendly and provide unparalleled support to make studying enjoyable.

What do you think you have gained from your studies that you wouldn’t have developed without them?

Having to prepare for presentations and finish assignments within tight deadlines has been quite helpful as I am now more confident about my ability to give presentations to a large audience and finish up tasks within a short time limit.

I also served as a postgraduate Student’s Representative under the Student’s Union. This experience helped in developing my leadership and people management skills.

Have you undertaken any extracurricular activities? How have they enhanced your experience?

I joined the Revive Students Society and had wonderful experiences with them. The society contributed greatly to my life by always supporting me with encouraging words when I feel overwhelmed. I participated in outdoor activities like paintball, group picnics and barbeques.

How have the people you have met at Southampton changed your life?

The majority of the people I met at the University are lovely and kind people who went the extra mile to make my stay at Southampton interesting. These people include my friends, lecturers and members of my club.

How has the University helped you to adjust to living and studying in a different country?

The University has been very supportive in helping me adjust to the new environment by always organising different kinds of workshops and providing me with a caring personal academic tutor to guide and advise me.

What will you do with your degree/research after you have finished your studies?

I hope to work as a statistician and data analyst.
