Research interests

I am keen to study two categories of women- 1) Nurse midwives, majority of whom are women involved in care provision; 2) Labouring women who come for childbirth to public health facilities. Both groups have been denied their due respect and are powerless. I am exploring if the empowerment of one group (nurse-midwives) leads to the empowerment of the other (childbearing women) in terms of improvement of quality and respectfulness of care around childbirth.
