Mr Daniel Paradine  

Learning Technologist

Daniel ParadineDaniel Paradine comes to the University of Southampton with a rich background in international and UK-based primary education. Over the course of his career, he has taught in diverse settings across Japan, Taiwan, Slovakia, China, Egypt and the UK, specialising in reading, oracy, English as an Additional Language and mathematics. Daniel has also played a key role in mentoring and training educators, drawing on his deep pedagogical knowledge and extensive experience in curriculum design.

Driven by a lifelong interest in how people learn, Daniel is particularly passionate about the role of technology in enhancing learning experiences. He recently completed a professional diploma in Digital Learning Design with the Digital Learning Institute and has contributed to a voluntary project developing microlearning courses for young adults in North America.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys a busy family life with his wife and two children. When time allows, he can be found swimming, cycling or walking and he loves visiting historical sites, museums and galleries. At home, he’s a keen reader, film enthusiast and music lover.
