Mr Luke Kimber-Bradshaw
Senior Learning Designer Team Lead
Luke provides strategic leadership for Learning Technology capability, acting as capability lead for staff training on Blackboard Ultra during a three-year institution-wide VLE migration. He leads a team of Learning Technologists, aligning staff development, platform adoption, and practice with institutional priorities in accessibility and STEM education. His work includes oversight of learning technology deployment, scenario- and simulation-based training, and governance of the Blackboard and VLE awards scheme.
He previously led the team’s summer internship programme, setting delivery priorities and providing line management. Earlier roles include network management in secondary education, with responsibility for operational delivery, infrastructure renewal, and a one-to-one device strategy. He has also supported institution-wide online teaching delivery in response to COVID-19.
Luke contributes to the University’s Social Mobility Network, supports delivery of The Class Ceiling podcast, and co-chairs the JISC Accessible Maths working group.

- Recipient of a HWBOT world record for high-performance processor optimisation.
