Mrs Dimitra Lamprinou
Learning Designer
Dimitra started her career in education as a teacher in Greek and English primary schools assisting children with learning disabilities. However, her interest in educational technologies led her to start her postgraduate studies in eLearning. As a holder of a BEd in Primary Education and an MSc in eLearning and Educational Technologies, she has worked as a Courseware Designer and Elearning Specialist in both Greek and UK learning industries.She is experienced in multiple authoring tools, developing courses and assessments for online and face to face delivery to a variety of learners.
Before joining the University of Southampton, Dimitra worked as an eLearning Training Specialist in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in London and lately, she was delivering courses for the Royal Navy at Babcock International Group.
Dimitra is a certified Moodle Course Creator (MCCC) and her expertise lies in gamification and game-based learning, publishing papers on the benefits of Gamification in Education.
