Blended learning

All our programmes and modules support learning through multiple methods where appropriate, through online resources and face-to-face activities, where academic staff carefully design the correct blend for their discipline and students. Techniques such as ‘flipped learning’ combine the strengths of online independent study and social learning during lectures.

The Digital Learning team works with academics to help them choose and implement appropriate technologies that enhance the student learning experience and deliver other objectives, such as providing a solution for cohorts larger than our largest lecture rooms, or facilitating group projects.
