Sport and Wellbeing have an exciting programme of summer holiday activities for children aged 8-14.

Sports Activity Days

Activities for children aged 8-14 years may include sailing, canoeing, raft building, rifle shooting, chimbing, swimming (including Commando Run inflatable), team challenges and many more indoor sports games. Where activities take place at other locations, transport is provided. You generally still drop off (8-9 am)and collect (5-6 pm) your daughter or son from the Jubilee Sports Centre.

The activity programme has been Ofsted-approved, and all instructors work to the standards of the relevant sports organisations, for example RYA for sailing.

For more details, contact Sport and Wellbeing direct.

Swimming

Children aged 4-16 years can also enjoy swimming lessons. Instructors at the Jubilee Pool can provide either group sessions or private lessons. If you are a beginner yourself, you can share a lesson with your child.

The team are proud that children with sensory or other disabilities have learnt to swim here, with the price of their one-to-one tuition kept very close to that of group lessons.

Again for more details, contact Sport and Wellbeing direct.

Early Years Centre

For babies and pre-school children, there are often places available on an ad-hoc basis at EYC over the summer.  For more details, contact EYC direct.

Money

You can offset the cost of both activity days and EYC with Computershare childcare vouchers.

You can also claim up to 15 hours of free nursery care if you child is 3 or older. You can find details in the EYC brochure (right).
