Event details
This is the main event for IWW 2014. It's open to everyone, particularly members of equality and diversity volunteer staff networks and student groups. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to meet and chat with each other, and with senior members of the university and SUSU. together we will discuss and update what the networks and the University have been doing, where we are now and what more needs to be done.
The focus will be equally on the here-and-now key issues, and those in the longer term. Places are limited, and we advise reserving yours now. (If you can't get there for 17:00, please do still come. We have arranged the layout so you can slip in at the back without disturbance.)
16:30 Doors open.
Refreshments. Stalls hosted by additional groups and socieities.
17:00 - 19:00 Talks and Q&A with a midway break.
During the evening, senior management from both the University and SUSU will both summarise key issues in their areas, including gender equality. They will also respond to feedback from networks and groups, and to questions from the audience. Speakers are:
- Professor Jeremy Howells , University Diversity Champion
- Jaki Booth , Chief Executive, SUSU
- Representatives from networks and groups
Break with drinks and nibbles, and an opportunity to talk to stallholders.
- Janice Donaldson , Director, Human Resources
- Jo Doyle , Director, Student Recruitment and International Relations, with guest Rosemary Duke , Chair of International Women's Club.
- Plenary Q&A chaired by jeremy Howells, and formal close.
