Event details

Professor Jane Hill, Associate Head of the Department of Biology, University of York, will be giving a talk on York's 'pathway to gold' to help other departments achieve Gold accreditation in Athena SWAN.

Equality Challenge Unit’s Athena SWAN Charter was established in 2005 to encourage and recognise commitment to advancing the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment in higher education and research. It has since broadened to include all disciplines and job types in universities, including professional and support staff.

York's Department of Biology achieved Gold Athena SWAN in 2013, after holding a Silver award since 2006.

All University staff and students are welcome, and members of the University's Athena SWAN network are particularly encouraged to attend.

For further details, please contact Dr Felix Eigenbrod.
