Event details

The exhibition aims to inform, educate and provide people with valuable insight into the determination and perseverance displayed by these women and activists in the past and the present day. It will eventually travel to other parts of the UK, unfolding the extraordinary challenges faced by ordinary individuals. Different strands of equality are introduced throughout the exhibition at stages, so you can relive the moments that caught the attention of the world. The exhibition also offers video presentations on talks of several women’s experiences with the struggles of equality and video footage from 1913 of suffragette Emily Davison throwing herself under a race horse. This event is hosted by Centric Community Projects - Open from 10am-2pm on Thursday and Friday.
