International Women's Day takes place annually on 8 March, when thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. The University is pleased to be hosting a week-long programme of activities to mark this special event.

**Main event**
'Women Shaping Society'
is a free event bringing together staff and students to celebrate International Women's Day. The event will be opened by Professor Jeremy Howells and includes guest speakers Professor Jessica Corner, Nyovani Madise and Councillor Sarah Bogle. It also includes a fashion show from the African Caribbean Society, performances from the Jazzmanics and free light refreshments.
The Arthouse
will also be selling some tasty treats for you to enjoy or take home.
