Equality Assessment template download

Equality assessment is a two-stage process. There are separate Part 1 and Part 2 pro-forma templates, along with a single set of guidance notes and an accompanying flowchart covering the whole process. All are available to download at the foot of this page.

Part 1 is a top-down screening/scoping process, best completed at the start of the project.

A more detailed investigation (Part 2) is needed only if you had identified this through Part 1. You can treat this assessment as a living document, evolving with the project, signed off towards the end with an active legacy in the ongoing action plan.

You no longer need to send documentation to Diversity, unless you have a query. This is a change from the previous v.1.0 of the Guidelines.
