Event details
Producing an engaging research poster isn’t easy: You need to summarise your research into something that will fit onto a single piece of (albeit large) paper and you need to make your design clear and eye-catching.
In this session, which is part of the Festival of Doctoral Research , Nic Monks and Jonathan Lightfoot will provide some guidance on:
- What makes a good poster?
- What are the top do’s and don’ts for an effective poster?
- How do I make it attract interest from 5 meters away?
- What software and tools could I use?
- How do I create a poster?
The session will include examples of past research posters. You will be invited to vote for the best poster and your favourite features. Nic and Jon will then demonstrate how to use PowerPoint to re-create the features you have voted for.
