Following on from the Doctoral College Welcome Sessions we ran in October 2016, this session is suitable for any new doctoral researchers who have joined the University since November 2016, and also for those who joined in the summer months last year but were unable to attend our October sessions.
The Doctoral College, in partnership with your Faculty Graduate School, aims to provide an inspiring and vibrant environment for your research, and to help you develop the skills and attributes you need to become an effective researcher and progress through and beyond your PhD.
At this welcome session you will be able to:
- Meet the Doctoral College team
- Meet other new researchers from different parts of the University, with tea/coffee and cake!
- Explore what it means to be an effective researcher
- Learn how our activities can support you
- Think about how you can get the most from your time here
