Endnote for Beginners (bibliographic software)

This practical course will introduce the basic tools of Endnote Desktop which is a sophisticated referencing management software package  As an alternative to this long taught course, the Library offers an online EndNote course which can be worked through at any time and from any location. They both cover the same topics.

Course Description

The software enables you to create and use personal libraries, to download bibliographic information from a wide range of databases and libraries, and to create automatic citations and bibliographies in your chosen reference style.

It is recommended that you become familiar with a bibliographic software tool before commencing literature reviews. Endnote is the most comprehensive and is supported by the University but there are others such as Mendeley and Zotero which don’t require so much tuition. Read more information on the alternatives.

EndNote software is available via “Additional Software” on University Workstations.
