Funded by the Doctoral College Activities Fund, "Make your own motto” is a crafty workshop led by Peter Ferentinos, a doctoral researcher in Arts.
During this hands-on training, participants will walk through the technique of printmaking, with an introduction of photographic material, etching plates, and how they are finally transferred onto silk screens in order to produce screen prints. Participants will be able to try the process and then be given ready-made letters, created from the technique, to create their favourite mottos or slogans.
For those who may be interested, a solo exhibition of printmaking by the workshop leader will be open free to everyone from Wednesday 22 May to Friday 24 May at The Winchester Gallery, WSA.
The University has arranged a free shuttle bus service for its students connecting the Winchester School of Art and Highfield, Southampton campuses.
Full details can be found on the WSA Shuttle Bus tab on the WSA Transport page .
