As part of the Festival of Doctoral Research, postgraduate researchers are invited to run an activity or event, which is funded by the Doctoral College.
Applications fall within the following strands:
- PGR-led activities - strand 1 fully funded
- Faculty/Programme-led activities – strand 2 match-funded
- Professional Services-led activities – strand 3 match-funded
Proposals meet the following criteria:
- showcasing excellent doctoral research to the university community or beyond
- Promoting/celebrating the successes and achievements of doctoral researchers
- exploring and/or promoting inter-disciplinarity in doctoral research
- building a sense of togetherness and community amongst researchers
- enhancing doctoral wellbeing
- enabling experiences and/or expertise to be shared
- piloting something novel/innovative

Depending on the nature and scale of the planned activity, applications can be made for amounts up to £1,000. Proposals within Strands 2 and 3 will be expected to match-fund the requested amount.
