PGR Virtual Coffee and Q&A

PGR Coffee and Q&A

The Faculty of Social Sciences host a weekly PGR Virtual Coffee and Q&A, led by FSS PGR Senior Tutor, Ruben Sanchez Garcia. This event is being held virtually at present due to the current circumstances and provides a great opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have about your wellbeing, doctoral studies or factors affecting your studies.

On the first Wednesday of every month, this meeting will be a PGR meet-up, consisting of two 30 minute talks plus a social event.

When?

Every Wednesday from 15:00 BST.

Who can participate?

Doctoral students from all Faculties are welcome to participate.

How can I join?

To join the virtual meeting, please go to the PGR Virtual Coffee and Q&A Teams site on Microsoft Teams, and click 'Join Team'. Teams can be accessed via your web browser (Edge or Chrome preferred), or you can install the Teams application (available for Windows, Mac, ios and android). You will need to sign in with your University of Southampton email address and password.

PGR Q&A Channel

Within the PGR Q&A Teams site, a new Q&A channel has also been launched, where you can post your PGR-related questions. A team of senior people will keep an eye on your questions and try to answer them as they arise. You can also answer/respond to other students' questions, and see what other PGR students are asking. Please click on the link below to visit the channel.

In addition to this virtual space, you may send Ruben any queries by email: R.Sanchez-Garcia@soton.ac.uk or contact your Graduate School.
