School level information on Progression Milestones
Welcome to the School of Biological Sciences Graduate School! You are now a member of our vibrant community of researchers that involves interdisciplinary collaborations within our School, Faculty and University as well as academic and industrial partners from around the world. I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities available to develop yourself as a Biological Scientist and ready yourself for the next stage in your career. The invaluable research experience offered by your Doctoral dissertation project will be complemented by courses, seminars, conferences, workshops and opportunities to gain experience in outreach and teaching. You will find that looking beyond the confines of your own project can be an inspiring and rewarding experience.
This page provides key information regarding your new environment and procedures within the Graduate School – please read it and add it to your Favourites for future reference. If information is unclear, or if consulting this booklet doesn’t answer your questions, please drop by the Faculty Graduate School Office reception on Level 2 in Building 85, talk to your supervisors or ask other graduate students, who you will inevitably glean lots of useful information from.
Good luck with your next few years of productive and ground-breaking research in Biological Sciences.
