VoxEU.org column by Mirco Tonin and Michael Vlassopoulos

Published: 26 July 2012

Money matters, but is that all?

In a recent column on VoxEU.org, Mirco Tonin and Michael Vlassopoulos, both at the Economics Division, present evidence that social incentives can boost productivity in sectors that rely on pro-social behaviour such as health, education, and social care. The article also argues that this may help explain the growing popularity of Corporate Social Responsibility programmes within firms. VoxEU.org is a policy portal promoting research-based policy analysis and commentary by leading scholars.
