Mr Abu Siddique is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Southampton.

My main research interest lies in the understanding of shaping of economic behavior through social norms, identity, culture, and institutions. In order to do so I employ field and lab-in-the-field experiments in developing countries.

Prior to starting my PhD, I completed an MSc in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Southampton and a BSc (Econ) in Economics at Queen Mary, University of London. Apart from research, I also enjoy badminton, cooking, painting and travel photography.

Research interests

Behavioural Economics, Experimental Economics, Development Economics.

Supervisors: Dr Michael Vlassopoulos, Dr Emmanouil Mentzakis, Prof Mirco Tonin.

Funding: Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) 1+3 funding.
