Hi, I'm Ben Holden and I studied MSc Education Practice and Innovation within Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton.
It has completely changed my outlook towards professional development and how learning can be integrated into the work place.
Q: Why did you choose to undertake your studies in Education at the University of Southampton?
I was directed to study at Southampton as I was part of the military cohort.
Q: What do you enjoy about studying Education at Southampton?
The support from the staff within the Education Department. They were always helpful, always thorough and always prompt in their replies. Their professionalism helped to ‘sugar the pill’ of us gradually moving from residential periods of tuition towards distance learning.
Q: What have you been able to achieve as a result of studying at the University of Southampton?
I am better able to do my job. I am better able to justify why our education and training needs to change, I am better able to affect change and development and I am better able to guide others through such processes. It has completely changed my outlook towards professional development and how learning can be integrated into the work place.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
To gain employment in Training Development subsequent to my army career.
