One of our main purposes is to facilitate high quality professional development to support colleagues working across the different phases of education. This is reflected in the feedback from a teacher who recently attended one of our conferences. ‘This has been a fantastic day; really inspirational and definitely the most worthwhile and useful training I have attended in ages!’

Colin Stevens’ teaching career has spanned thirty nine years, nineteen of which he was a Headteacher. He has been a Headteacher of an infant, a junior school and two primary schools. Prior to this he has was a Deputy Headteacher. He also has experience of working as Subject Manager, SENCo, CPLO, designated teacher for looked-after children, mentor to newly appointed Headteachers and as a School Governor. During his Headteacher career he was seconded to two schools. He also taught the Leadership and Management unit on the B.A. Education degree. Colin managed school reorganisation by being directly involved in creating a primary school from an existing infant and junior school.

He organises meetings for the Thinking Differently group, a group of primary Headteachers and senior leaders who meet termly to discuss new ideas and thinking within education. He teaches on the University Led Primary PGCE programme. Colin is interested in developing further links with primary schools within the South East and South West regions in order to extend mathematics and Science professional development opportunities.
