Kyle Evans presented a 3 minute talk during competition

Kyle Evans, Head of Mathematics at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, and Southampton Education School alumnus, has won the FameLab UK final in a tough fought communications competition earlier this year.

Kyle had just three minutes to talk about science(alongside his trusty guitar) to win over the audience before facing a panel of judges for further interrogation. Maths and music go very well together in this 3min instalment presented by Kyle during the competition.

Kyles's excellent ability to effectively engage with students while teaching maths has developed during his 10 years of teaching in schools and sixth form colleges and culminated in his participation in FameLab. He shares his experience of this process and offers 'tips for the top' for engaging students and inspiring a love for your subject in his blog article.
