Education staff invited to India to deliver bespoke CPD course
The All Assam Private Schools Association (AAPSA) invited Southampton Education School to deliver a bespoke continuing professional development (CPD) programme for their teaching and leadership staff in July 2018.
Dr Alex Woodgate-Jones and Phil Green delivered a 'Teaching and Leadership' course which was attended by up to 40 delegates each day. Attendees varied in experience and responsibility, with the cohort comprised of newly qualified teachers (NQTs), classroom teachers, subject leaders and headteachers.
The feedback received was very positive with 100% of the cohort rating the programme “very good” or “good” for overall quality of teaching. Teachers and senior leaders particularly highlighted the interactivity of sessions and opportunities to participate and share experiences. The Education School is offering a varied international programme for international staff hosted overseas and in Southampton in the future.
