New report published on school leadership and religion
A new report has been published: All Faiths and None: School leadership and religion in multifaith societies by Professor Jacky Lumby from Southampton and Professor Gerry MacRuairc , National University of Ireland, Galway. The report details research funded by BELMAS that explores the issues facing leaders of schools with learners of diverse faiths. The education system reflects unresolved tensions around, for example, how far Christianity in the UK or Catholicism in Ireland should be the norm, and how far minority groups' religion and culture should be nurtured. School leaders enact their answers to such questions, as the report details.
