Event details

Interest in teaching school children to write computer code has suddenly become popular.

In this seminar I’ll examine the "Make Things Do Stuff" programming initiative (run by Nesta, Mozilla and the Nominet Trust) from a "software studies" perspective on "algorithmic governance", "code as law", the "transactional politics" of databases, and "programming power". Is this a new mode of governing by code in school?
