Event details

This annual conference is the opportunity to update your knowledge and skills and network with other technicians from across your region, meet the suppliers and find out what networks are local to you.

Keynote: Dr Carys Hughes, ‘Save our science technicians’

In this interactive session, interspersed with some exciting demonstrations, we will look at the issues surrounding science technicians and look at how we can save our technicians and promote what we do. We will look at why technicians are important and how we impact on learning, what information and initiatives are out there to help and support technicians and what you can do in your own school to promote the work you do.

Choose from a selection of workshops covering the following topics;

Practical plant biology, required practicals, science clubs, using data logging in lessons, tips and tricks with glassware, soldering make and take,  going wireless, microscale practical ideas ………

Cost: £75.00 per technician (maintained and independent schools and colleges) – includes lunch, refreshments and conference materials.
