Event details
Is England really tumbling down the international league tables? Should we teach mathematics more like the Finnish do? Is England really an international outlier in mathematics education?
In this seminar, I will present the findings of three comparative studies recently carried out for the Nuffield Foundation together with evidence from TIMSS and PISA. In doing so, I will consider what can be learnt from international comparisons as well as the potential pitfalls.
